The Ultimate Dark Elf and Dark Eldar Tactics

The Beginning of a glorious Dark Elf Army

First,be aware that the dark Elf army is not an easy one to use. Sending your weak elves into combat without a plan will cause your defeat.
But, with a smart plan and the right tools you will crush your opponent. I will give you some tips on how to build a solid force:

Where to start, well the most essential would be your Cold One cavalry. You'll need at least five and I strongly suggest you get that standard bearer, your very pricy cavalry(both in terms of money and points)needs every bit of extra support it can get. Then buy your General, who just happens to be mounted on top of a Cold One. See if you can figure out which regiment he is supposed to lead. Now, your wallet should be quite thin, the Dark Elf heavy cavalry is the most expensive you can get.
But, you'll need far more than this elite force.
I suggest you concentrate your points( and money)
on which elves and corsairs. Buy plenty of both types, at least 16 of each, the corsairs especially needs that crucial 3+ bonus from its rear rankers. Get both regiments a musician and standard bearer. Next, cast your terrible gaze upon the puny plastic warriors. They suck more than anything has ever sucked before, but I'll give you three reasons why you should by ten. 1. They are cheap. 2. They enable you to have an extra RBT in your arsenal. 3. You need something you can sacrifice. Finally, throw in a coule of Repeater Bolt Throwers, they are a must if you expect any heavy cavalry. Some Dark Riders would be very nice too, if you can afford them. If your opponent let you do it, buy some plastic warriors and use them as scouts. You'll need 16 of those at least. Should you feel you have need of the Black Guard or those pathetic crossbowmen, please do so, but remember, they will cost you, expensive they are, and not of much use.
